A humble village

Mahadevpur is a village that has a little to contribute to the history of Bengal. A typical muddy road cuts this village in bengali pattern. A part is known is Gopalpur, another, it self Mahadevpur. The place, I born in month of Shravan 1380 Bengali era.
It is a remarkable place so far as I am concern, I dreamed day and night ,now and then. It is on geographically on 33 degree north 88 degree east on the earth. The durgapur in the North, Muchipada in the east, Sunderpur in the West, and a big jhil of 100 Squere KM in the south. The metioned jhil is 'Nuchna Kudi', famous for fish hunting in the winter. I can remember, once I hatched one tortoise in the region. We had a paddy field there, which used to be always covered with water while harveting. A boat was used to cut those paddy and a macha was built on the top of water, in the field to watch the birds and offcourse theif , who can still paddy.

I left the place, wen I was just 11. Still I have those memory of all roads, galis, mud house, ponds, trees. 20 years past, I never visited the place.

I wish to visit the place, did not happen.
